Hi!!! I’ve been a complete stranger! I did not plan on taking off this much time from blogging but things have been very busy for me. To catch you up a bit, in May I got my braces off! I’m not sure if you noticed, but I had been wearing braces in my previous pictures. After 18 long months, my teeth are finally free lol.
May is also my birthday month, so I celebrated my special day with friends and family. We enjoyed brunch at the Grandover Resort and Spa. After that, we hung out at home and devoured the most delicious cupcakes (baked by my friend Candace). Later that evening, I went with some friends to a Jazz Lounge for dinner and great music. All in all, I am grateful for another year of life and am confident that the best is yet to come for me!
In June I was blessed with a new job that has been keeping me very busy! I am now working on trying to balance work, other important obligations, and my personal life. Also in June, I finally discovered the cause/problem of the knee pain I’ve been having on and off for the past 3 years. After having x-rays and an MRI done, I found out that I have fluid in my knees and that I also have Chondromalacia Patella. I have since started going to physical therapy weekly to improve and hopefully combat this issue. My physical therapist recommended that I wear sneakers with good arch support as often as I can (which is a total bummer because sandal season is in full effect)! Of course wearing gym shoes everyday is not going to happen. I can’t wear them to work during the week and on the weekends I’m trying to show off my fresh pedicure lol. I suppose I will try to somewhat comply with his request and wear them during my down time!
So, that was the gist of it
These pictures were taken Memorial Day weekend. My parents, boyfriend and I went spent time with my two sisters and their families. We ate and shared a lot of laughs. It was a great time!
