Feature in Black Bride Magazine

We’re only a few days into 2019, and God is already showing out in my life! If this is any indication of what the rest of the year will encompass, I know that this will be one for the record books! I’m excited to tell you all about my feature in Black Bride Magazine. I’m a contributor for The Celebration Issue, Volume 7. Be sure to go to blackbride.com to read my article in the “After the Aisle” section entitled, “What I’ve Learned After One Year of Marriage” (pages 118-119). Also, be sure to check out all of the other amazing content in the digital magazine. You’ll love it. It’s packed with 140+ pages of fabulousness! Be sure to pass the word along to any engaged couples or aspiring brides you may know. A special thanks goes to the team at Black Bride for selecting my writing to be a part of their magazine.

I’m sharing this accomplishment with you all because I want to let this experience for me, be an encouragement for you. If you are a blogger, influencer or business owner and have ever been discouraged or wanted to throw in the towel, don’t give up. I’ve been blogging since 2013, and though I’ve worked with brands before, this is my first time being selected to be in a magazine. It is an honor, privilege and blessing to be recognized and have my writing and wedding featured in a national digital publication.

As a small blogger, sometimes it can be difficult for people to notice you when there are so many others out there creating content that may be similar to what you’re doing. That’s why it’s important to be you and stay true to your goals and pursuits. What sets you apart from others are your unique views, talents and how you approach things. Trust me when I say that the right people and brands will find you (and in some cases, you will find and approach them)! Even in a saturated market, you can stand out if you continue to work hard and follow your God-given purpose. Indeed, there is enough room in this social media space for everyone to be successful.
