Happy National Lipstick Day! When it comes to beauty, I’d have to say that my favorite product to wear is lipstick. I love a bold lip color, and tend to always gravitate towards reds, berries, pinks and nudes. I’m excited to share with you all a few lipsticks I’ve added to my collection. These lipsticks are from two black owned beauty brands.
The Lip Bar– Prima Donna and Bawse Lady
The Lip Bar is a beauty brand that sells vegan, cruelty-free lipsticks, lip liners, blushes and bronzers. The types of lip products they offer include liquid mattes, lipsticks and lip glosses. Prima Donna and Boss Lady and two of my favorites from this brand. They are both liquid mattes. Prima Donna is more of a purple, whereas Bawse Lady is a true red. Both colors apply smoothly and are long lasting.
Mented Cosmetics– Nude La La and Pretty in Pink
Mented Cosmetics is a vegan, paraben-free, non-toxic and cruelty free beauty brand that makes its products in the United States. They offer beauty products in an array of nudes, including lip products (liner, matte), eye shadows, and even nail polish, among others. Both apply easily and feel nourishing to the skin. I mean these matte lipsticks feel like butter, they’re that smooth!
I can’t wait to purchase a few more items from both The Lip Bar and Mented Cosmetics. If you haven’t tried them before, I’d highly recommend them.
