Travel: Los Angeles, CA

I traveled to L. A. for the first time and it was a trip to remember! We were there for my bachelorette party and the entire trip was filled with tasty food, wonderful sightseeing and the best shopping ever! When we arrived, we headed to grab a bite to eat. The plan was for everyone to surprise me with lunch at TJ’s Sweetie Pie’s but that plan backfired when we arrived and they were closed ☹ and not just closed for the day but it appeared to be closed permanently. We ended up going to a nearby place to eat. After lunch we went to our Airbnb to get dressed for a fun class at Pole Aerobics. All I’ll say about that was that routines were learned and fun was had! We ended up spending the rest of the evening ordering food and having game night.

The next day we traveled to Hollywood Boulevard to see the Hollywood stars and do some sightseeing. Later we went to Beverly Hills to check out some stores and do some shopping. If you’re into luxury items, Rodeo Drive is definitely the place to be! They have everything from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, David Yurman and YSL, among many others. The selection of items in those stores is much larger than the stores I’ve been to in smaller cities, so it was great to see everything they had to offer.

Once we left Rodeo Drive, we headed to The Grove. The Grove has a lot of nice restaurants and great shops like Zara, Free People and Anthropologie. Of course, there were many other great stores too. We ended up eating dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and went to a few more stores before leaving. After a full day of shopping, we headed back to the house for a nap before our late night event. Later that evening, we went to The Sayer’s Club, where we enjoyed a live band (featuring L. Young) and drinks. The music was wonderful! After that, some of us retired back to the house while the others went out for round 2. Unfortunately, I couldn’t hang so I got on the first Uber ride back to the house.

The next day we traveled to Santa Monica. There we went to the boardwalk, ate at the food trucks and did a little shopping. One of the most exciting things we got to do in Santa Monica was a tapping of The People’s Court. We just so happened to be walking down the street when one of the producers approached us and asked us to be on the show. It’s amazing how God works because one of the cases was about a bride and I was the only bride in the group. Another case was about being a mother to boys, which related to my sisters and my cousin. The show aired on October 2nd and it was so exciting for us to see ourselves on TV. We even got to take a picture with Harvey!

Our last night in L.A. was spent having dinner at the exclusive Barton G restaurant. Their mission is to serve you quality food while wowing you with experiences like no other. I’d never been to a restaurant so unique. They have an L. A. restaurant and one in Miami; so if you’re in either one of these cities, give it a try. Your experience will definitely be one to remember!

If traveling to Los Angeles is in your future plans, check out the restaurants, sights and shops that I mentioned (in bold writing). I think you’ll definitely enjoy them!
