“Done is better than perfect.” I’ve heard that a few times recently, and it got me thinking about how true of a statement that is. That statement applies in more ways than one may imagine. I know for me, I recently began to adopt that philosophy when it comes to my blog, and even when completing the last two consistency challenges.
So often we wallow in fear, afraid to try, afraid that we may fail or worried about what others may think of our decisions. It’s in those times that we must push through in spite of. Sometimes striving for perfection to the point that we procrastinate and are paralyzed prevents us from getting things accomplished too. It’s impossible to reach your goals when you haven’t done any work to get to where you want to be. Even if everything is not how you want it, the blessing is in the start. We need to focus on doing the work, make necessary improvements as we go along and remember that done is better than perfect.
Do you let fear of the unknown stop you from pursuing your goals? Are you unable to get things done because you’re too busy wanting them to be perfect? Leave a comment below and let’s figure out how you can adopt a “done is better than perfect” mindset.
